Who We Are
The Waldoboro Food Pantry started in the 1970's and serves the Lincoln County communities of Waldoboro, Bremen and Nobleboro. On the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, volunteers distribute packaged goods, eggs, milk, bread, fresh fruits and vegetables to 155 to 185 households. Volunteers also meet on the preceding Monday to prepare the food distribution.
We currently provide a drive-thru food distribution at 124 Friendship Road, meaning our volunteers bring the food to your vehicle. We are not able to provide individual delivery service, but you can have someone pickup for you, i.e., family member, neighbor, clergy member.
Our board and support staff volunteer to make the pantry work. Our volunteers come to us through connections with the Lions Club, the town, and word of mouth in the community.
The food pantry operates 100% on donations. Our donations come from individuals, businesses, towns, churches, and other community organizations. We also receive donations in the form of food, toiletries, pet food, and other household items from charitable locals.
